Hello there, I’m Bryan Alexis!

I’m a muralist, photographer, designer, and visual artist and I can help you with your project. There is a fairly wide range of media that I work with. I started my career as a graphic designer and photographer, but always seemed to find myself doing more. In addition to print design and photography, I also create with motion design, augmented reality, sound design and song writing too. Since 2015 I’ve produced huge public works of art in the form of mural painting! I have designed and installed over 30 murals, so far.

If you’re here, chances are you might be looking for a mural or some other creative work. There’s a small form that will connect us and help get your project started. You’ve come to the right place! Here are a few things you might be interested in:

Murals in Motion

Whenever I paint a mural I record a daily time lapse of the work. It’s really fun to see it all come together in fast motion. I offer professionally edited videos of the process for my clients so they have content to upload to social media channels. The videos help create excitement for the project and can be integral in getting customers to come out and view the artwork. Murals are proven foot traffic generators, and can add real dollars to the economy of an area, as well as quality of place and a spark of joy.

Photography

Photography has always been a cornerstone in my design work. My very first film camera that I bought in college was a used Minolta X-700. I still have it today, sitting on a shelf with a collection of antique cameras. I’ve moved up the ladder with my gear with the latest Canon R-5 mirrorless dslr. In addition, I have a traveling studio setup with powerful strobes and enough backdrop to accommodate large group shots. I’ve been fortunate to photograph for the Miss California Pageant, National Imperial Miss, Fashion Week in NYC, Parrot Island Waterpark, as well as some of our local dance schools. I’m open for commissioned work for portraits and commercial photography, but not weddings (too much pressure =-) Here are a few samples of my work. More can be found on my photography page.

Design

I’ve loved drawing since I was a kid, and was more often than not found scribbling drawings of helicopters on scraps of paper from my mom’s purse. What may have been thought of as a way to keep me busy while grown up things were happening turned into a lifelong career. I still love to draw, though not as many helicopters any more. I do, however, create all manner of work as a graphic designer. I am an illustrator, brand creator, print and interactive designer. I have a masters certification in UX Design from Nielsen Norman Group and am versed in motion design. You can see more of my work here. Let’s start a project!

A lot of the illustrations that I do for my own practice and enjoyment wind up in my shirt shop. Take a look at the examples below and then head over to see more designs in the store. You can get more than shirts too! If you see a particular design and would like to have it on a mug, throw pillow, shower curtain or just about any other item, and don’t see the option, send me a message and I’ll set it up for you.

You know how blogs are… you get inspiration and write a story. You think, “Yeah cool, I can do that like every week!” The next thing you know it is three years later and the few regular visitors to your site wonder if you’ve fallen off a cliff or are perhaps trapped under something heavy. Well I’m in no danger of gravity, so far today anyway. Nevertheless you can check out some musings and fun projects as I periodically post them here. It can be like a little tri-annual surprise! “Oh look, he posted something! Guess he secured that bookshelf after all.”
